This page is a "What is" explanation with some "How To's"
The KPP Button Screen displays PRESS Status and expected next action WRT Data Entry
The KPP system is designed so that the Initial KPP record on any given Production Run will act as the KPP Zero for that RUN
This will establish the SET VALUEs for that RUN.
These are carried forward to each KPP record in that PRESS RUN
Here is an example of PRESS 3, ready to update for KPP Zero, the First KPP of the RUN and it will also establish the SET VALUE for the rest of the RUN
This is KPP Zero for the Production Run
The Setup Values will carry forward, through out this current Production RUN.
The Supervisor will now click the LAST QA First off Check Box on the Production Run Screen
A typical KPP report - has upwards of 80 data entry items
They can be divided into 5 different groupings
at least 1/3 of the data entry items are Set values that can repeated for all PMP reports in a specific Press Run Configuration
The primary objective of the project is to Monitor KEY Production Parameters (KPP) for each one of 10 Presses;
At least one KPP is to done every 12 hour shift.
This will allows recording of primary machine and run time parameters
And have the information is to be available for record keeping & analysis purposes.
KPP's in the new version will be tied to the "1st Off QA Testing" Status of each press for any given Production Run, and hence will be required to be completed & confirmed, before the Press can be put into "In Production" status
There are 2 aspects of the KPP project
Data Collection
Data Analysis
Has been simplified to work on a Hand Held device
The 70 fields are grouped in logical groups & visible on Named Tabs
When a Press is selected, the KPP form is automatically started & populated with initial information, Press #, Shift, Supervisor, Time
Data will be written to Back End DB as each field is entered (hit Return Key)
Done by Shift Supervisors, real time at the Die Mold Press, there are 7 to 10 active Presses
The Data Entry provides Snap Shot of the performance parameters of each Press, at least once a 12 hour shift. More if Molds are changed
There are approximately 70 parameters that need to recorded per PMP
See Note on KPP Specs & Required fields
The Plan is to provide a Data Entry Screen on a hand held device, to be carried from Press to Press
Each Shift Supervisor will only be able to see their own PMP data entry forms, & only for that Shift
This Data Entry interface for Shop Supervisors must be easy and doable to use
All the data must be accumulated in a central database (MS Access)
The plan is that the Tablet will be used to remotely access a computer in the office that will actually running MS Access 365 and connected to the back-end database,
Accessed through the Menu
User access & permission are controlled by the Framework user login and permission model
The Management team will have the ability to search and sort by Press #, Work Order, Part Number and Time Frame
A list of a search result will be provided and the ability to view & print any single KPP form
There has been not been a request, to date, to provide any summary views of the KPP data

A KPP must be done at the beginning of each Run to ensure quality control of the Press Equipment
The Setup Values in the KPP Zero are then carried forward to each subsequent KPP for that RUN for comparison purposes
Local Drive P and find the latest version of the program
If you do not have a Drive P, you need to Map it
Ask Charlie or Mike to do this
Run the Program
Login with a user with the correct permissions
Click on Key Production Process Search
Select a group of KPP to analysis (Several search tools available)
Click on the Edit button to look at a specific KPP Details
Print report for KPP
